Facial expression, body language, personality, and the inner workings of the subject provided inspiration for Henry's approach to painting portraits.
These portraits have quite a story. They were his first portraits, drawn in 1969 for a show celebrating the opening of Greece Town Mall in Greece, NY, earning Henry an award for these pieces. Not long after that show, they disappeared, not to be seen again until miraculously, in 2020, through a series of coincidences, they were returned to Henry. We're not sure what happened to them in the meantime, but thankfully they were returned, and in pristine condition.
